What Our Participants Say

This Garden is a thoughtfully designed gift to our community. It is a place for rememberance and reflection. We brought our National Charity League class and the upstander message the tour guides shared was a powerful one for these young girls to hear (and really all of us). I would highly recommend a visit and supporting the next phases to be built.”

Jerri Monbaron, Chief Community Engagement Officer at Humble ISD

“As you walk through the garden, you will learn about the ghettos, the trains, the concentration camps, and the gas chambers. You will see the names of the victims inscribed on the Remembrance Wall, and you will feel the weight of history on your shoulders. But the Holocaust Garden of Hope is not just a place to mourn the past. It is also a place to learn from the past and to work for a better future. The garden’s connection to Hebrew Scriptures from the Tanakh reminds us of the importance of love, compassion, and justice.”

Troy Goldman, Local Guide

“Rozalie, Thank you for bringing your Holocaust Garden of Hope idea to life in Kingwood, Texas! Your stories left a big impact on my heart. My boys and I loved painting rocks for the Upstander Project. We talked about each child and wondered what they would have grown up to be. Now we enjoy walking the Garden and looking for our rocks. Your message is Powerful. I encourage my boys every day to be an Upstander not a bystander because of you!”
