| Shalom, Dear Friends!
This past month has been one of reflection, remembrance, and renewal.
Together, we have walked through moments of solemn commemoration and joyful celebration—each revealing the strength of our shared purpose. On the second anniversary of the October 7th attacks, our community gathered to stand in unity and prayer alongside 140 cities across the globe in a worldwide-event organized by the International March of Remembrance. We read the names of victims, lifted our voices for the release of the hostages, and renewed our resolve to confront antisemitism and preserve truth in a world that too often forgets.
In the days that followed, our prayers were answered as hostages were released—an outpouring of relief and gratitude that renewed our hope for peace and healing as this long-awaited process begins to unfold!
Just a few days after the vigil, nearly seventy guests joined us at The Green at Kings Harbor to experienced Sukkot under the stars—a beautiful evening of faith, fellowship, and joy. The sound of the shofar, the glow of the illuminated Garden, and the spirit of gratitude filled the night as guests enjoyed delicious offerings from Loco Cantina and Megaton Brewery and generously contributed bottles of wine to help “build the bar” for our upcoming Beauty for Ashes Luncheon! It was a celebration that united remembrance with renewal and community with purpose.
Earlier, we were also honored to welcome the leadership of the Kingwood Garden Club—an organization devoted to cultivating beauty, protecting native landscapes, and inspiring civic appreciation. Their visit and docent-led tour through the Garden deepened the connection between our missions of growth, stewardship, and education.
As the Holocaust Remembrance Association and the Holocaust Garden of Hope continue to grow, so too does the scope of our mission. With each new program, event, and partnership, the need for passionate volunteers and dedicated interns becomes ever more vital. There is so much important work to be done—sharing stories, guiding visitors, expanding educational outreach, and ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to reach hearts and minds across our community and beyond. We invite those who feel called to this work to join us in carrying the message forward, helping to build a future grounded in remembrance, understanding, and hope. You can join us by signing up on our volunteer page!
Through every gathering—whether in solemn remembrance or joyful celebration—the Holocaust Remembrance Association continues to serve as a place of connection and hope. Together, we transform memory into purpose and ensure that light prevails over darkness—for our community, our world, and the generations yet to come.
Looking forward to November we have two incredibly important events—the Beauty for Ashes Luncheon, followed the next day by our 2025 Conference-Restoring Hope: Insights From the Holocaust at This Critical Hour!
Your prayers, participation, and support continue to make a lasting difference. Let’s press forward—together.
