Susan is a painter/calligrapher and singer/songwriter. The intrinsic beauty of the Hebrew language and Israel’s history and culture captured her imagination and changed her life, which she expresses in her art and music. The design of the gate at the Holocaust Garden of Hope was taken from her painting, Hope for the Future, also depicted in exhibit panels. Trees became a way of communicating messages about the Holocaust to children who will visit.
