Maryann Gremillion is an educator and writer working with elementary schools, teachers, and nonprofits to build transformative communities. She taught elementary school for fifteen years in Houston where she discovered a passion for teaching creative writing. Maryann also worked as a writer-in-residence and then program director for a local nonprofit. She is a published poet and is currently finishing a book chapter about her work with teachers in collaboration with Writers in the Schools and Texas A&M.
