Pogrom – Holocaust Remembrance Association

Originally a Slavic word for a violent riot against an Ethnic/Religious group, usually sanctioned by the authorities.

The butterfly symbolizes resilience, honoring lives lost and inspiring hope to combat hatred and injustice.

Figures for various people groups, especially with regard to victims of the Holocaust or related persecution are taken from leading academic institutions and/or researchers. If new and academically viable research emerges, HRA-18 will make every effort to update its website accordingly. All figures on the websites are correct at the time of the writing.
