Holocaust Remembrance Association stands with the Israeli diplomatic community to honor the lives of Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky and uphold the dignity of every human life.
Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, Israeli Embassy staffers killed this week in Washington, D.C. Their lives—full of promise and purpose—were cut short by senseless violence.
Sarah and Yaron were planning a future together; Yaron had just purchased a ring to propose in Jerusalem. Their story, now a memory, reminds us that hatred robs us all.
We grieve with their families, with the Israeli diplomatic community, and with all who feel the weight of this loss. May their memories be a blessing, and may we never tire in the work of building a world where every life is cherished and protected.
With grief and determination,
Holocaust Remembrance Association
The Holocaust Remembrance Association exists to remember, reconcile, and take a stand against antisemitism in all its forms.
