The history of the Jewish people through centuries of affliction and suffering could be the subject of countless films and novels.  Somehow, they have borne that affliction and have survived despite all odds.   Over the centuries, the Jews have continued to make significant contributions to all aspects of life:  literature, music, commercial enterprise, scientific research, agriculture, and the arts. Surely there are many lessons to be learned by examining the personal stories of Jewish men and women who miraculously survived the Holocaust and became successful contributors to their communities.  Examples?  Absolutely – and perhaps even paragons of resilience and perseverance!
