With a career spanning over 35 years in the real estate field, Martin Fein has been actively involved in multi-family residential projects in Texas and other Sun Belt cities.  He founded Martin Fein Interests, Ltd. in 1989 and is currently engaged in the development of luxury apartment communities in Houston, Austin and Denver.  He received a B.A. in government from Indiana University and a J.D. from the University of Louisville Law School. Since he settled in Houston in 1973, Commissioner Fein has been actively involved in the Houston community.  He is a recipient of the JINSA Community Leadership Award and the New Life/New Leadership Award of the State of Israel Bonds.  Fein has served on several bank boards and currently serves on the Advisory Board of BBVA Compass Bank Houston.  He has also served on the boards of the Society for the Performing Arts, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Congregation Beth Yeshurun, and the Jewish Federation of Houston.  He is a past Chair of the Southwest Region Board of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) as well as a past member of the National Commission and the National Executive Committee of the ADL.  He was the Founding Chair of Holocaust Museum Houston and was the recipient of the Guardian of the Human Spirit award from the Museum in 2006.
